There has been a wide variety of projects in my history, which includes multi-page books and reports, large format signage, social media posts (some created by other staff on the team, 2022-2025), websites, logos, map creation and custom templates for dielines. Files created are technically-sound and developed through hands-on training as both an employee and a freelancer over the years. Most of my career has been in remote or hybrid positions, which is what I am seeking now.

Print Design
There have been countless menu designs over the years and was a favourite; combining graphics, text and backgrounds to showcase the chef’s creations. In addition, there have been many magazine layouts, annual reports, ads and flyers.

Logo designs have always been a team effort with clients and employers; their passion and creativity are expressed, and I add my technical skills to bring their idea to life.

& Sales Centre Design
This logo and brand design is for a luxury condominium project with construction that began in the summer of 2025. The management team was looking for a text-based logo that spoke to a demographic approaching or in retirement. Its location is adjacent to a golf course so the colour palette needed to reflect an active lifestyle.
I was also responsible for the Presentation Centre design for the walls which include marketing boards, a full wall map and shelving. The turnaround time for the completion of the sales centre was approximately 4 weeks including printing and installation. This project is a finalist at the 2026 BILD Edmonton Awards of Excellence for Best Sales & Information Centre.
There are several banners and exterior signage to increase visibility and awareness in the neighbourhood.

Website Design
Earlier in my freelance career, I created websites using the Divi or Elementor builders to create responsive, SEO-friendly websites on the WordPress platform. Employment history includes learning other software custom built by agencies to update websites. In both cases, working with a great developer and SEO team is key to keeping things running smoothly. Since 2022, I’ve been making updates and adding graphics to an agency-created custom website, which includes creating svg files for floorplans.
Maps & Sales Assets
Extensive experience building custom maps for projects as well as sales assets which included plotting product (billboards/digital ads) for a sales team who would use the maps to show area coverage/exposure to clients.

My current role with CPA Alberta is a mat leave contract position, which is an 18-month term that ends in November, 2026. I have been enjoying the team, culture and projects and it will be difficult to say goodbye. What stands out is the pride that each person has with their role as well as the work-life balance that they promote.
In my time with my previous employer I received two 10% annual raises which has provided confirmation that I provide value and professionalism to the company I serve. I look forward to continuing my career working in a hybrid or remote role.

Beyond a world of graphic design, Roxane is a certified yoga instructor and also trained in HeartMath’s stress-reduction techniques. She loves to spend time in her South Edmonton home with her husband and her dog, Nacho.
